I feel like a fucking bad friend sometimes.
I sometimes forget how to be social.
Most days, laying on the couch watching movies, or sitting on my balcony and reading a book is my idea of a party. I have to work at going out.
I shower, I lotion up, I paint on a pretty face, I blow-dry my hair and try on 101 different outfits (ultimately unhappy with every single one), and I spend at least an hour convincing myself that I want to go out. I...

Oh hey
I’m engaged!
It’s been…well….a crazy month. A crazy few months actually. I feel like tomorrow is the start of something new. A time for some refreshing changes.
I can already feel the stress draining from my body. It’s like I can breath again.

This Book Will Save Your Life

A surrealists dream. I can’t put into words exactly what this book is about. It was enthralling. Enlightening at times. I thoroughly enjoyed it and devoured every last page in less than 24 hours. It’s my favourite kind of satire. Wealthy middle-aged nobody inadvertently discovers culture, nature, and love while in a seemingly endless haze of...

Dead and Buried; A shocking account of rape, torture and murder on the California coast
- Corey Mitchell
In November of 1998 and four months later in March of 1999, two 20 year old college students disappeared in the quiet, serene city of San Luis Obispo. Sadly, some weeks after the 2nd vanishing, the bodies of the 2 girls were found on the property of ex-convict and paroled sex offender Rex...
100 Books in 1 year
The greatest of writers began as the greatest of readers.
So in that vain, I will be challenging myself to read 100 books this year (of no certain length or genre) and I propose you all do the same. If not 100, something. Anything.
PICK UP A BOOK, DAMMIT!!!
I encourage you to send me some amazing suggestions to add to my list.
“As I sat on the park bench in my Chuck Taylors and Buddy Holly glasses, cup of coffee in one hand, cigarette hanging from my mouth and a battered copy of “On the Road” on my knees, I felt I was trying way too hard.”
I wish I could take credit for this, but alas, I did not write it. Still loved it.
In my younger and more vulnerable years my father gave me some advice that...

Dream Big Little Fish,
One day, beyond all this;
The Ocean.
pt. 1
It’s another Monday night and here I am, sitting alone in my apartment. Again. Scratch that. Not entirely alone. The orange tabby curled up contently in my lap in no way makes me feel anymore impressed with my situation, but he is, in fact, company. He rolls over, licking his paws, but never opens his eyes. I’m pretty sure he wouldn’t care if he was in a gorilla’s lap, as...
